Wensleydale sheep
The Wensleydale is a large sheep with long stapled, lustrous wool, originating in North Yorkshire, England.  Our sheep range from 75% - 90% pure Wensleydale.  The fiber spins easily and the yarn created has a wonderful spring and softness.  The yarn and garments knitted from it will full and fluff when washed and blocked.  Wensleydale dyes well, keeping its luster, and it blends nicely with angora to make warm, luxurious yarn.

 Angora Goats
Angora goats produce mohair.  Mohair is a luxury fiber, known for its luster, softness, and strength.  We breed our goats for fine kemp-free fleeces.  They are shorn twice yearly, giving a four to six inch staple.  Angora goat fiber ranges from very fine to soft, to coarse as the goats age.  Kids produce the very softest, finest fiber. Our goat fibers are quite fine, no kemp. Almost all vegetable fibers from hay and pasture are cleaned out  by skirting and washing.   Presently available:
white kid:
White yearling/kid combined, washed and picked:  $3.00/oz.
